First Fridays: Taking & Giving Back

Art galleries not your thing? No problem! Sweet Leaf is redefining First Fridays with a deLITful twist. On the first Friday of each month, Sweet Leaf will be bringing together industry leaders, influencers and new friends out to the Metlo, a mid-century motel transformed into a stylish oasis for businesses in the heart of Capitol Hill, for a chance to take time away from the office and connect with fellow cannabis gurus. Why should this matter to you? It’s simple.

These invite-only First Fridays are serving up more than budding opportunities for industry insiders to connect, Sweet Leaf is partnering with The Weed for Warriors Project to give back. This nonprofit organization has been taking the cannabis industry by storm, setting out to provide Veterans across the country with medical marijuana information, a safe place to fellowship with other Veterans and safe access to free medicine with proof of service/current medical recommendation. Sweet Leaf has set a goal of collecting $50,000 worth of donations prior to summer’s end – and these First Fridays serve up the ideal occasion to raise funds.

Interested in partaking in your own First Friday fun? Stay tuned, because Sweet Leaf will soon be able to bring all its toke partaking fun directly to you! Cliff Young, longtime restaurateur, is partnering up with Sweet Leaf, restaurant designer Jeff Katz and Evolaab on launching HighEnd – a catering company with the mission of providing luxury marijuana-friendly private dinners. More information to come!
