High for the Holidays: Stoner Stars

  • 1/2 cup of infused coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons raspberry jam
  • 1/4 cup green decorator sugar

Other Materials

  • Rolling pin
  • 3-4 inch star cookie cutter
  • 1-2 inch star cookie cutter

Step One

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In a large mixing bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine the two mixtures until well blended.

Step Two

Refrigerate dough for 3 hours.

Step Three

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease multiple baking seeks.

Step Four

Sprinkle flour on wax paper and roll out the refrigerated dough. Roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness.

Step Five

Cut dough into star shapes using larger cookie cutter. Cut out a smaller star in the center of half of the large stars. Place the stars on the baking sheet as you go.

Step Six

Sprinkle green sugar on the stars with cut-out centers. Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until the bottom is golden

Step Seven

Let the cookies cool. Add 1 teaspoon of raspberry jam to the center of each full star cookie. Place cut-out stars on top of full stars with jam.

Don’t forget they are infused! Start low and go slow.
