Dabs, Dishes & Downward Dogs with Mason Jar Events
Yoga is a lot more than awesome pants and increased flexibility. Not only does the practice of yoga reduce chronic pain and lower blood pressure, but it allows you to experience your true self. On the hillsides of Longmont, Colorado sits Shupe Homestead, the venue for ‘Yoga With A View’, a yoga brunch with a cannabis focus. The grounds are filled with towering trees and beautiful flower gardens. As the sun rises for the afternoon, it shines bright on the nearby mountain range. This popular wedding venue is charmingly transformed into an outdoor yoga studio elevated with the addition of a dab bar, upscale dining, and live music.
Kendal Norris of Mason Jar Event Group had this idea come to her in a dream. What was once an illusion is now one of the most prestigious cannabis experiences in Colorado. Mason Jar Events bring together insightful individuals in unique settings to experience cannabis in a whole new way. From cannabis pairing dinners created by James Beard Award Winners to events like Yoga With A View, there’s something for everyone.
The day begins with a trip to Sweet Leaf’s Walnut location to pick up goodie bags filled with delicious treats ranging from flowers to oils to edibles, as well personal Sweet Leaf pipes. From the dispensary, a party bus shuttles your group to and from the venue. Yogis are handed delicious Stillwater infused tea as they enter the grounds. The class was taught by famed Colorado yogi, Larissa Ortiz and began by giving yourself a relaxing hand and foot massage with Apothecanna stimulating oil. The smooth vinyasa flow was a perfect challenge for the afternoon, followed by a 15 minute meditation in the shade. The hour-long practice was fit for any beginner or experienced yogi. It’s a lot easier to get through an energetic flow when you know there are dabs and drinks waiting for you afterwards.
Thanks to Healthy Headie & 710 labs, a stellar dab bar was available for some concentrate sampling. A delicious local theme surrounded the brunch. Farm-to-table inspiration created by Hosea Rosenberg rang throughout the meal with local made jams and pickled vegetables. Even some of the table decorations were made by local artists, and available to purchase. Each guest also received a custom Sweet Leaf wine glass to top off the afternoon.
Cannabis lovers and connoisseurs are flocking to these events as they rise to their deserved fandom. Don’t get left in the dust and request an invitation to one of their upcoming events HERE.
